MBGDesk UK
MBGDesk UK builds websites, applications and AI automation for British businesses and runs the search work that makes them findable. Our UK office is at 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, and we work with businesses across the United Kingdom.
British businesses commissioning digital work are operating under constraints that most markets do not impose: tracking rules that are enforced rather than nominal, accessibility expectations that apply to anyone serving the public sector, and a local search landscape that resolves to towns rather than regions. None of these are exotic, and all of them are routinely missed by work imported from elsewhere.
The recurring fault we find on British sites is a cookie banner that does nothing. Analytics and advertising scripts fire on page load, before any consent is given, while a banner sits on top implying otherwise. Under UK GDPR and PECR that is a compliance problem independent of how the marketing performs, and it also means the data being reported on was collected in a way that will not survive scrutiny. Alongside it sits content written in American English, targeting words British buyers do not type.
When this work makes sense
Questions worth asking any supplier
Does tracking fire before consent? If analytics loads regardless of the banner, the banner is decorative.
Is the content in British English? Spelling changes which search terms exist, and American copy reads as foreign to a UK buyer.
Is local targeting at town and borough level, or aimed at whole regions?
Does the supplier understand accessibility obligations if you sell to the public sector?
Are your Companies House details consistent with the site and your listings? Mismatches weaken local signals.

Process
UK engagements include a consent and tracking review before any measurement work begins. We establish what fires before consent, what the banner actually blocks, and what that means for the analytics you already have. Building reporting on a non-compliant measurement setup creates a liability that grows as the site succeeds, and it is far cheaper to correct at the start than to unpick later.
The standard nine stages — discovery, strategy, UX/UI, development, content and SEO, testing, launch, measurement, continuous improvement — apply to every project. The paragraph above is what differs for this one.
What moves the number
Pricing depends on scope, functionality, integrations and content requirements. These are the factors that change it most:
MBGDesk, a London agency, or a local web designer
London agency
Fits: Brands wanting central presence and in-person working
Limits: London rates, and for smaller budgets the work often sits with junior staff
MBGDesk
Fits: Businesses wanting build and search handled together, with a UK office and delivery across four markets
Limits: Part of the team works from India, so some collaboration is asynchronous
Local web designer
Fits: Small sites where a personal relationship matters most
Limits: Usually design and build only; search, accessibility and compliance rarely covered

Frequently asked questions
Where is MBGDesk's UK office?
37th Floor, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AA. Business enquiries go to uk@mbgdesk.com. A dedicated UK phone line is being arranged; until it is live we have not published a number, and we will not point you at another market's line instead.
Is our cookie banner actually compliant?
We can tell you whether non-essential scripts fire before consent, which is the technical half of the question and the half most banners fail. The legal assessment belongs with your data protection adviser — we are not lawyers and the technical check does not settle it.
Does British spelling matter for search?
Yes. 'Optimisation' and 'optimization' are distinct queries with distinct volumes, and American spelling tells a British reader the company is not local. Google bridges part of the gap; it does not close it.
We bid for public sector contracts. Does accessibility matter?
Considerably. Public sector procurement in the UK carries accessibility expectations, and an inaccessible site is a weakness in a bid before it is anything else. We build to WCAG AA as a default rather than as an add-on.
Should we target London or our own region?
It depends on where you can deliver and how contested your category is in London. Many businesses do better owning several regional towns than placing tenth in the capital. We look at the competitive picture in both before advising.
Do you work outside London?
Yes, across the UK. The work is delivered remotely, and for local search the granularity is the town you actually serve rather than the city nearest your postcode.
What do your services cost?
Pricing depends on scope, functionality, integrations and content requirements. We do not publish rate cards, because the same brief varies widely by requirement. Send the outline and we will give you a real figure.
